Hi everyone, today i'm going to talk about a film that we saw in the class, this is Ghett a life of Chris Browne. This film is about a boy that want to become in boxer, he has talent but his father don't approved it. They live in a ghetto of Jamaica and the father is an important politic figure to the community. The boy training in a club of box outside to the ghetto and this meaning that he is violating the rules. The father is not agree because this fact damage his politic career, too the father feeling scared that something could happen with her son, because the older brother of Derrick was killed by gangs to the contrary political party.
It is difficult to me decide if i like or dislike the film, for me is in the middle. The film in general is funny and the history keep you interested all the time. The first that i thought when i saw the movie it was that i liked the aesthetic to the film own to b-movies, too i liked that the director could make visible the politic problem of Jamaica. But i didn’t like the history, appear to me very cliche and the actuation to the characters wasn’t convincing.
My favourites characters are Derrick, Dawn and Manuel. I like the passion of Derrick to the boxing, because in his situation more than a hobby it is a political position. And i love how Dawn and Manuel believe blindly in Derrick and help him to realize his dream.
The scene that i liked was when the coach go to training with the students near to a river, the place filmed was beautiful. Other scene that i liked it was when Derrick take the father gun to revenge his mother, because i like when in the films the characters after to suffering abuse lost the fear and decided defend themselves without regard the consequences.

kathia... i see your text very looooong... is very funny!!! jajajajaj, the place filmed was beautiful, i think the same!
